Complete Packaging Line Solution
完整包装线解决方案
Turnkey secondary packaging line for food, home-care and beverage mid-volume runs — case erecting, loading, sealing and palletizing, with flexible changeover.
- Stable 30–45 packs/min
- Measured OEE lifted 62% → 81%
- Changeover under 15 min
- Modular: case-erect / load / seal / palletize
## Where it fits
Mid-volume secondary packaging in food, home-care and beverage. Typical batch 5,000–50,000 units, 3–20 SKUs.
## Typical configuration
- Automatic case erector (12 cases/min)
- Loading robot (SCARA or 6-axis, sized by product weight)
- Case sealer + inline checkweigher/reject
- Palletizing robot (20–50 kg payload)
Whole-line steady rate is 30–45 packs/min depending on product size. At one seasoning producer, OEE rose from 62% to 81% after commissioning, mostly from removing manual-loading stalls and mis-pack rework.
## A mistake we made
Our first design used vacuum cups on flexible pouches and saw ~3% pouch damage. Switching to contour grippers with a vacuum-cushion stage dropped that to 0.4%. We underestimated this step; run gripping trials on the customer's real film during design, not at site commissioning.
## Throughput trade-off
Above ~60 packs/min you need dual parallel lanes, which raises footprint and cost by roughly 40%. Most customers are fine at 40 packs/min single-lane; we usually advise saturating one lane before expanding.

## Typical Line Configuration
Primary packaging cell, case erector, pick-and-place case packer, checkweigher + vision, robot palletizer, stretch wrapper, line MES.
## Case Study
A dairy group consolidated 3 legacy lines into one 55 cases/min line, lifting OEE from 61% to 84% within two months.
## FAQ
**Q: Who is responsible for integrating machines from different OEMs?**
A: LUNA acts as line integrator: one contract, unified PLC/MES architecture, single FAT, and one service point after startup.
**Q: What line efficiency is guaranteed?**
A: ≥92% mechanical efficiency at rated speed during a 72-hour SAT run, with liquidated-damage terms in the contract.
**Q: Can the line grow with our volume?**
A: Yes, layouts are designed with upgrade slots - e.g. adding a second palletizing cell or upgrading the case packer drive - to roughly double capacity.
